Why LG OLED?

Only OLED TVs use over 8.3 million pixels that emit their own light and turn completely off, creating a stunning picture that allows you to see virtually every detail.

  • Sharp Picture

Unlike LCD or conventional LED technology, OLED uses millions of self-lit pixels to give you consistent detail, even when the cinematography gets dark.

  • Swift Response

Individual self-lit pixels paired with the latest gaming features and tech give you an edge with less lag, high refresh rates, and incredibly smooth and responsive gameplay.

  • Smooth Motion

OLED Motion is technology you see, but don't notice. It's motion handling for fast movements in sports and action sequences. Kickoff returns look just as smooth at home as from 50-yard line seats, with less stuttering to slow down the big car chase.

  • Slim Design

LG OLED technology unlocks a new world of TV design with a minimalist bezel and impossibly thin profile, putting the spotlight on your content while complementing your home's interior.

See how perfect LG OLED TVs can be

Bring home the world’s #1 selling OLED TV. Only OLED pixels emit their own light, allowing for perfect black, intense color and stunning picture. Other TVs pale in comparison. There's LG OLED, then there's everything else.
SELF-LIT LG OLED

See how OLED redefines picture quality

Once you’ve seen LG OLED TV with your own eyes, you'll understand. It’s stunning picture that redefines quality. Millions of OLED pixels emit their own light independently and can be completely turned off. This unveils perfect black, over a billion rich colors and infinite contrast. From the gridiron to the iron throne, no detail goes unseen.

α9 Gen3 AI Processor 4K

See more of your content in 4K

Just because it wasn't filmed in 4K doesn't mean you can't see it that way. Our most advanced 4K processor uses AI and deep learning to authentically upscale lower resolution content, translating the source to 4K's 8.3+ million pixels. The technology is so good, you might mistake non-4K for true 4K*.
*Image quality of upscaled content will vary based on the source resolution.

What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded all of my expectations! It's very hard to overstate my satisfaction with this TV. I'm not one for hyperbole, but this TV is AH-MAY-ZING. We thought we had a pretty nice TV before, but it's been a transformative experience getting to know this awesome piece of technology. First, the size of it; even though the TV is a massive 77 inches, because the actual thickness of the screen is less than half an inch, it is still light, easy to maneuver, and sits snug up to the wall. (There is also the option to have it standing, in which case, there is a weighted base to balance.) This is the perfect TV for movie night, because we can sit a bunch of people all around the room and there is a perfect view from any angle! The picture quality; this is why you buy this TV. If you've never watched on an OLED screen, you're missing out big time! Without getting too technical (but look it up, it's so interesting), the picture quality of the Organic LED is unlike any top quality TV screen I've seen before. It's ability to bring vivid colors, blackest blacks, brightness in the dark scenes, clarity, detail, and more, has blown me away. I watched my favorite sitcom series and noticed the tiniest things in the background that I'd never seen before. I marvel at how the screen clarity makes shows look like big budget films. It literally feels like you're in the scene and on set. Connectivity; This Smart TV has become a hub for all our smart tech in the house. Not only is it fully connected to the internet (we could browse all day laying in the recliners!), LG has an app for our phones to connect and control everything, and it makes being in charge of it all from anywhere so simple. The TV comes pre-loaded with most popular apps, but LG has a suite of popular apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) as well as some original ones that you can download directly to the TV. Switching between apps is very easy, just a couple of clicks on the smart remote. Speaking of remote, I've never had a remote that I could speak to- thanks Alexa!- or that can be used as an IR pointer, to point and click at things on the screen. It's really just fun to use! One of the cool things is the art screensaver feature that makes the TV look like a giant framed art piece on the wall. The set-up and installation of the TV was easy enough for us to do ourselves. We got it working within minutes; at first it was difficult to connect to LG, but connecting an ethernet cable fixed the issue. Working perfectly ever since!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture and recognized all my devices The picture on this tv really is stunning. The true blacks make the colors pop, and 4k really feels like you’re there! I was pleasantly surprised when I was setting this tv up for the first time, and a built in wizard found all of my connected devices - through a single HDMI! A few minutes was all it took and I was done. I’ve had zero issues with this LG, and would buy it again in a heartbeat! Built in apps put everything in one place and make cutting the cord that much easier. UPDATE: I’ve owned this tv for over a month now and I’m still very impressed with the picture quality and the built in apps. The one thing I struggled with was the “wake” feature, which will sense other devices and automatically turn the tv on. This is a great feature, especially if you are running a decent receiver to control your home theater. The issue I was having was actually related to the 4K stick that I was using, but a couple of setting changes and it was fixed! This LG is very intuitive and seems to “want” to work with other devices, which is great for a change! I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another LG. Watching movies that we’ve seen many times in the past, is now jaw dropping with the OLED. I was initially concerned about OLEDs suffering from burn in images if you left the screen on, but this LG has that covered. I paused a show and within seconds it began cycling through images and previews. No need to be concerned anymore! If we could sum it up in one word... Outstanding!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HDMI 2.1 issue with 3080 [email protected] 444 gsync So been using this tv since release with no issues. Beautiful pictures and loving it. So why the 1 Star? I use this tv in my game room. It’s connected to all my console and pc. So with pc, like the title stated, [email protected] 444 gsync just doesn’t work well. Very disappointing since lg boast about gsync and their HDMI 2.1, secondly I bought this tv for 1 purpose and that is gaming. Hope an update comes and fix this.

What is the brightness in nits?

Asked by: brig
Regrettably, LG does not divulge specifications for the nits on the LG CX 77 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (76.7'' Diag), Model # OLED77CXPUA. The SDR and HDR Peak Brightness will vary when displaying different content. The TV has an Automatic Brightness Limiter (ABL) that significantly dims the screen when large areas get bright, so that's why the 'Peak 100% Window' and 'Sustained 100% Window' tests result in significantly less brightness. The TV has a Peak Brightness setting, which changes the way the ABL performs...^IFV

I have a silly question, I bought an OLED65CXPUA TV that supposedly supports gaming.  However, is the tv still capable of getting burn-in?  What precautions should be taken to prevent burn-in if playing Xbox on this tv or other gaming systems?  Thanks.

Asked by: MikePal
Burn-in and image retention are possible on virtually any display. However, with the LG CX 65 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # OLED65CXPUA and LG OLEDs, any risk of burn-in or image retention have been addressed through the use of technology that not only helps protect against damage to the screen, but features self-healing properties so that any short-term image retention that may occur is quickly rectified. It is rare for an average TV consumer to create an environment that could result in burn-in. Most cases of burn-in in televisions is a result of static images or on-screen elements displaying on the screen uninterrupted for many hours or days at a time – with brightness typically at peak levels. So, it is possible to create image retention in almost any display if one really tries hard enough. And even if image retention does occur from extreme usage, it can usually be mitigated within a short period of time by turning the display off for a while, and watching a few hours of varying content (such as your standard TV watching and channel-surfing). Additionally, LG OLED TVs come with special features and settings to preserve image quality and prevent burn-in and image retention. First, there is a Pixel Refresher feature that calibrates any issues that may arise on the screen when your TV has been turned on for a long time. Calibration takes more than an hour. Secondly, there is the Screen Shift feature that moves the screen slightly at regular intervals to prevent image sticking on the display panel. Then you have a Logo Luminance Adjustment that adjusts the luminance of static images such as logos within the content to correct potential picture quality issues...^IFV
